Portugal 2023/24 - grants and loans | Need-based grants are available to home students, both full-time and part-time, and refugees can exceptionally receive them too. Merit-based grants are open to home and international students, full-time and part-time. There is no age limit for getting a grant. In 2023/24 need-based grants ranged from EUR 872 to EUR 5,982 a year, with EUR 872 as the most common amount. Merit-based grants amounted to EUR 3,800. | There are no publicly subsidised student loans. |
