Finland 2023/24 - student fees and grants | Home students in Finland don't pay tuition fees, even in programmes taught in a foreign language. International students enrolled in degree programmes taught in a foreign language do have to pay. Apart from a minimum fee of EUR 1,500, there is no national rule on the amount, so each higher education institution sets its own fees, and they may differ by field of study. There is no national policy on waivers or reductions either; institutions decide. In 2023/24, 57% of international students in the first cycle and 55% in the second cycle paid fees. Part-time and short-cycle programmes are not offered. |
