Examinations: 2 or 3 weeks between beginning of January and mid-February (no teaching activity) About 1 month between May and mid-July depending on whether the university has its extraordinary examinations in July or in September (no teaching activity) Extraordinary examinations: 3 weeks between the second week of June and the second week of July (in some universities the first two weeks of September 2015) Type of programme: non-university tertiary education: There are generally three periods of examinations: before Christmas holidays, before Easter holidays and before summer holidays. Schools are free to fix examination dates within those periods. |

Examinations: 2 weeks between the end of November and mid- December These consist of extraordinary examination sessions which take place in December; therefore, not every student takes these exams, but only those who ask for this possibility instead of during the ordinary periods. Teaching activity is not stopped meanwhile. Spain 2017/18 - examinations | Type of programme: University tertiary education
Examinations: • According to the duration of the examinations: It ranges between 2 weeks (University of La Rioja) and 5 weeks (Universities in Galicia). • According to the starting and the ending dates: The earliest starting date is 4 December (University of Navarra) and the latest ending date is 6 February (University of Zaragoza). Particular features: • The University of Salamanca does not stop classes for exams. • There is a 3rd extra call in November (2-13) in the University of Extremadura for those students close to ending their studies. About 1 month between mid-May and the end of June, depending on whether the university conducts their extraordinary examinations in July or in September. There is no teaching activity during this period. Particular feature: The University of Navarra, between 30 April and 18 June. Extraordinary examinations: 1. Those universities scheduling extraordinary exams in June spend about 1 month, between the 1st week of June and the last week of July. 2.
