National student fee
In Liechtenstein all students pay fees. There are no short-cycle programmes and no official part-time status, and fees do not depend on the field of study or type of programme. No group of students pays higher fees, so international students are charged the same as home students. There are no fee waivers or reductions.
According to Eurydice data for 2023/24, annual fees for home students ranged from about EUR 103 to EUR 978, in both Bachelor's and Master's programmes. All fee-paying students pay more than EUR 100 a year.Student grants
Liechtenstein offers need-based grants to full-time home students. To qualify you must have lived in Liechtenstein for at least three years in a row, or five years in total with breaks, and the age limit is 32. How often the grant is paid varies.
In 2023/24 need-based grants ranged from about EUR 103 to EUR 15,435 a year. There are no merit-based or universal grants, and there is no data on how many students received a grant.Loans
Publicly subsidised loans are available to full-time home students under the same residence conditions as grants, and they can be combined with a grant. The age limit is 65. The source does not give loan amounts or repayment terms for 2023/24.Tax benefit for student's parents
Parents can get tax relief for a student child up to the age of 25. Students who have their own income can also benefit from tax relief.Family allowances
Parents receive family allowances for their child up to the age of 20.
