National student fee
In Cyprus full-time home and EU students do not pay any fees for first-cycle (Bachelor's) programmes at public universities.
Master's (second-cycle) programmes are fee-paying. In 2023/24 the fee was EUR 5,125 a year. Some second-cycle programmes cost more, for example MBA programmes or programmes taught in a foreign language. Fee amounts are the same for home and international students, and there are no students on places that are not subsidised by the state.
Second-cycle students can get a fee waiver or reduction based on their academic results or social situation.Student grants
Cyprus has need-based and merit-based grants, but only for home students (full-time and part-time); international students are not eligible. Grants are paid monthly over 12 months and there is no age limit.
Grants are calculated per ECTS credit and apply to courses with physical attendance; the lowest amount for one course is EUR 145. In 2023/24 need-based grants ranged from EUR 1,450 to EUR 3,420 a year, with EUR 1,450 being the most common.
