Student grants
Full-time home students can get two kinds of grants: a universal basic grant and a need-based supplementary grant. Grants are paid for 12 months a year for the whole length of the study cycle, and you can receive them only until you turn 30. They can be combined with a student loan.
In 2023/24 the basic grant ranged from EUR 1,412 to EUR 3,519 a year, with EUR 1,412 as the most common amount. The need-based supplementary grant could reach up to EUR 5,325 a year, which was also the most common amount.Loans
Full-time home students can take out a publicly subsidised student loan and combine it with grants. The age limit for getting a loan is 57. Eurydice gives no loan amounts or repayment details for 2023/24.
