Home full-time students can also apply for merit-based scholarships: Zois Scholarships for outstanding achievement in study, research or the arts (in Slovenia or abroad), scholarships for Slovenians from neighbouring countries and descendants of emigrants who want to study in Slovenia, and Ad Futura Scholarships for study visits, competitions and full-time study abroad. International second-cycle students from developing countries can get scholarships under development agreements; in 2023/24 the recipients came from Palestine and Angola. Merit-based grants ranged from EUR 1,990 to EUR 30,000 a year (most common EUR 2,701).
