National student fee

In Türkiye full-time home students do not pay tuition fees at any level of study. In the first cycle and in short-cycle programmes they may pay administrative fees, which vary from university to university. Part-time programmes are not available.

If you take longer than planned, you normally pay nothing extra – except in foreign-language programmes and certain disciplines, for example the Faculty of Aviation and Astronautics, the Pilotage and Air Traffic Control Department and the Conservatory Department. According to Eurydice data for 2023/24, this extended-study fee reached about EUR 122 a year in the first cycle and EUR 53 in the second cycle.

International students pay fees set by each university, which must be at least twice the cost calculated for the programme. Some are exempt – for example students from Syria and Palestine.
